ANNOUNCEMENT

Târnăveni City Hall announces the completion of the implementation of the project „Sustainable Energy Efficiency and Comfort significant increase in Târnăveni key public buildings”, a project financed with the support of grants granted by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway, through the EEA and Norwegian financial mechanisms 2014-2021, within the ” Program of Energy from Romania „, according to the Financing Agreement no. 2020/515444, concluded with Innovation Norway as program operator.

The implementation of the project started in November 2020 and lasted 36 months. The objective of this project was the energy rehabilitation of the buildings of the „Mihai Eminescu” Târnăveni House of Culture and the „Andrei Barseanu” Târnăveni Theoretical High School, thus achieving both an increase in interior comfort and a reduction of energy consumption by approximately 77%, of operational costs with over 50% and greenhouse gas emissions by approximately 82%.

Expected results of the project:

– Reduction of energy consumption: 906.72 MWh / year;

– reduction of equivalent CO2 emissions per year: 206 tons;

– Annual financial savings from energy efficiency measures: 29,423 Euros;

The total eligible value of the project is 1.165.883 Euro, of which the maximum non-refundable financial assistance granted is 991.000 Euro, representing 85% of the total eligible value of the project. The eligible own contribution of the Municipality of Târnăveni is 174.883 Euro, representing 15% of the total eligible value.
